I know you want to read this, oh yes you do.
I have yet another annoying pregnancy symptom to add to the mix this week; the Amazing Buzzing Vagina. The last two days I have had this sensation of Buzzing and Vibrating against my pelvic wall, kind of like I am sitting on a cell phone with the vibrate function turned on low and some annoying telemarketer has a need to call every 30 seconds and hang up after the first ring.
Now this sensation is not unpleasant at all – maybe just a little annoying when trying to sleep. BUT, this sensation is also not a productive one either if you know what I mean. If this Amazing Buzzing Vagina feeling could be productive maybe we could kick start some labour here – but no, it is just getting annoying.
I had NEVER felt this before even when I was MASSIVELY pregnant with The Dictator (note to self, I am much more massive with this baby at 37 weeks then I ever was at 42 weeks with the dictator). Yesterday I consulted my second favorite Doctor in the world, Dr. Google to see what the heck this feeling was. The Dr. Google answer was that the feeling was occurring because the baby’s head is pressing against all the nerves in my cervix/pelvic floor causing a vibrating feeling -this makes sense since my OB/GYN said the baby’s head is down and ready to go. Ahhh maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Also, what is with the stabbing vagina pain? Has anyone dealt with either of these before? Ouch to the stabbing vagina let me tell you.
In other news:
My two year old is obsessed with making Espresso AND likes to drink it. Thank goodness for decaf, no one needs a Dictator hopped up on the juice.
Buzzing and stabbing? No. But humungous at 37 weeks, yes I was.
You’re almost there…good luck 😉
With a title like that, how could I not read this post? hehe
I don’t recall the buzzing – lucky you! 😉 But I do have faint memories of the stabbing pain. Good times.
I can’t believe he drinks Espresso! At 2! Wow. Talk about a cultured palate!
I hope the next weeks don’t bring too many more bizarre symptoms… and that they pass quickly!
I was certainly intrigued by a buzzing vagina…and was disappointed when I read about it. What a shame that the ONE time you get this it provides no benefits whatsoever! And yes, I remember those sharp stabbing pains. Oh the joys…hope you get some rest down below!
Oh man, a buzzing and stabbing vagina? I’m so not ready to be pregnant. At this rate, I won’t be ready until I’m 85.
The buzzing and stabby vagina is nothing, NOTHING compared to labour and delivery.
Stabbing vaginal pain
I didn’t have to go through this, but two of my very good friends did. look up Vulvular varicosity. The spelling may not be all there, but it is similar to a varicose vein in your vulva. One of my friends was diagnosed with it. The other asked her doctor about it (after i mentioned it) and the doctor said that yes, it could certainly be that. they had it to varying degrees of severity, and i am not saying that this is what you have, but if so you have my total sympathies! One of them had it so bad that as soon as she saw her ob/gyn she was put of sick leave and to stay off her feet as much as possible.
to balance it out, the vibrating sounds fun 😉

I am pretty sure the buzzing is a nerve thing. I am not pregnant and have been feeling like I sat on my cell phone for the last few days…it is not fun at all. I found your page in my quest for answers. Anyhow, good luck.
